People’s Progress Party Leader Sir Julius Chan retains New Ireland Regional seat by Absolute majority Votes.

After Primary count of all 10 LLG’s, incumbent Governor and Senior Statesman Sir Julius Chan won through a convincing 31,717 Votes. 54.66 percent of the total formal Votes of 58,024.
Governor Sir Julius Chan thanks all New Irelanders who voted for him, for trusting in his leadership and allowing him to lead New Ireland for another 5 years.
